GLEN ROCK SPECIAL EDUCATION PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (SEPAC) UPDATE

Our next and last parent advisory council meeting for the present school year with Dr. Paterno will be on Tuesday, March 22, at 7:30pm, at Coleman School Media Center.
In April and May we will have speakers coming to our meetings.
On April 26 we will have Ms. Janet Krebs (Director, Communication Therapy Center) presenting on "The Connection Between Auditory Processing and Learning Disorders".
On May 24 we will have Sarah Perkins ( LCSW, NcPsyA) presenting on the topic of "Empowering Families with Autism."

NEW SSAC SUPPORT GROUP - Planning Meeting Monday, July 12
Dr. Barudin will be in the district until June 30, 2010. Our new Special Education Director, Dr. Phil Paterno, will start working in the district on July 1.
Myriam Alizo will lead the Special Services Advisory Council for the 2010-11
school year, but she cannot do this alone. She would like to form a team of
players to fulfill different roles in the organization. Everyone is welcome to take
an active role. The quarterly Parent Advisory Council Meetings will continue, but
we need to coordinate speakers and we also need to organize a "support group."
For this reason, your are invited to a planning meeting at Myriam's house,
56 Radburn Rd, Glen Rock, on Monday, July 12, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

To better structure the SSAC, we are providing a SURVEY to gather information
from our families (click here for survey).
