These Byrds can sing...
Thursday evening, January 17, at 7:30 p.m., students of Byrd's Morning Chorus and the 4th and 5th Grade Combined Chorus raised their voices -- on cue for a change!
The morning chorus performed (among other songs) All the Pretty Little Horses, Greensleeves and an entertaining rendition of Kazoos 'n' Shoes Blues.
Accompanied by music teacher Christine Sattler, the school's student singers performed Winter Fantasy, February, Let it Snow! What a Wonderful World and Give a Little Love.
They have been working for the past few months memorizing new words and melodies for the concert. The Morning Chorus, by the way, meets once a week (usually on Tuesday mornings) before the school day begins.
Although the concert is strictly choral, a few songs are accompanied by percussion instruments.
